Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ifeyinwa platform, including the Academy, the Agency directory, the video Showcase, and donations. By creating an account, enrolling in a package, submitting a hire request, or making a donation, you agree to these terms.
Effective from [effective date to be confirmed by Ifeyinwa].
Draft for review
This text is a draft prepared for Ifeyinwa's review and has not been checked by a lawyer. It is not legal advice and should not be published or relied on until Ifeyinwa confirms the wording and every bracketed placeholder below has been filled in.
Account and eligibility
To enrol in most Academy packages you must create an account with an accurate name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and password, or sign in with Google where that option is offered. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
Adult students create and manage their own account. Star Kids House enrolments are the exception: the account, payment and all communication for a child's enrolment are handled by a parent or guardian, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Hirers browsing or submitting a hire request through the Agency do not need a full student account; a hire request only requires accurate contact details.
Enrolment and cohorts
Group packages (such as the General Group Bootcamp and Advanced Class) run as cohorts with a set start date, a fixed number of days, and a limited capacity. The Private Bootcamp is self-paced and your access clock starts when your payment is confirmed rather than on a fixed calendar date. The Private Class is booked as individual one-on-one sessions.
- Each cohort has a capacity; once it is reached, or once its enrolment window closes, further sign-ups move to a waiting list until a place or a new cohort opens.
- Lessons are drip-released according to the cohort's schedule (for example Day 1 through Day 10) and are not available before their unlock day, so that the cohort can move through the material together.
- If you enrol after a cohort has begun, you will only have access to the lessons already unlocked and the days remaining in that cohort.
Fees and payment
Package prices are listed in Nigerian naira (NGN) unless a price in another currency is shown separately for that package. Ifeyinwa may update package prices, names or inclusions from time to time; a price change does not affect a package you have already paid for.
You may pay through Paystack (card, bank transfer, USSD or supported mobile wallets) or by manual bank transfer with proof of payment uploaded through the platform. Access to paid lessons and features is granted once payment is confirmed automatically by Paystack, or, for manual transfers, once our team has verified your proof of payment, which may take up to [number of business days to be confirmed].
Refunds
[Refund policy to be confirmed by Ifeyinwa]
Until a full refund and cancellation policy is confirmed and published here, refund requests will be considered individually if you contact [Ifeyinwa contact email address].
Course content licence
When you enrol, Ifeyinwa grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access lesson videos, notes and downloadable resources for your own learning for as long as your enrolment remains active. You may not copy, download, re-upload, resell, publicly post, or share lesson videos or private lesson links with anyone outside your own account, including in WhatsApp groups, on social media, or with other students who have not paid for that package.
Downloadable resources such as prompts, templates and presets that are explicitly marked as downloadable may be kept and used personally, but the same restriction on sharing lesson videos applies. A breach of this section may result in suspension or termination of your access without refund.
Student work and submissions
You retain ownership of the assignments, videos and other creative work you submit as a student. By submitting work that is approved by your House Captain, you grant Ifeyinwa a non-exclusive licence to display that work, with credit to you, in the Showcase and in the Agency directory for promotional purposes.
This licence is revocable: you can ask us to stop displaying a specific piece of work, or your profile generally, at any time by contacting [Ifeyinwa contact email address], and we will remove it within a reasonable time.
House system and conduct
On enrolment you are assigned to a house (Star Kids House, Gold House or Green House) and your submissions are reviewed by that house's House Captain. A Captain may approve your submission or mark it as needing rework, with written correction notes; where rework is requested, you are expected to resubmit in line with that feedback.
House leaderboard standing is a feature of the learning experience only and does not represent a prize, guarantee or certification. You are expected to engage respectfully with your House Captain and fellow students; abusive or disruptive conduct may result in a warning, reassignment, or suspension from the platform.
Certificates
A certificate of completion is issued automatically once all required assignments for your package have been approved. A certificate confirms that you completed the Ifeyinwa course as offered; it is not a professional accreditation or a guarantee of employment. [certificate verification page, if one is built] may be used to verify that a certificate was genuinely issued by Ifeyinwa.
Agency
The Agency directory connects hirers with Featured Creators through lead routing: Ifeyinwa passes on hire requests and contact details, but is not a party to, and does not guarantee the outcome of, any contract, payment, project or dispute agreed directly between a hirer and a creator.
Ifeyinwa does not guarantee that a hire request will be accepted, that a creator will respond, or the quality of any resulting work. Featured Creator status is granted at Ifeyinwa's discretion and may be adjusted, paused or withdrawn at any time.
Donations
Donations made through the platform are voluntary and, once processed, are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. A receipt is issued by email for every successful donation. Donations are used to support Ifeyinwa's programmes at its discretion.
Acceptable use
When using the platform, you agree not to:
- Share your account login with anyone else, or use another person's account without permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, another user's data, or the admin back office
- Upload or submit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content in assignments, profiles or hire briefs
- Submit false or bad-faith hire requests, or misuse the hire request system
- Submit false proof of payment or otherwise attempt to circumvent payment verification
- Scrape, copy or resell platform content, including Showcase videos or Agency profiles, outside the licences described in these terms
Termination
Ifeyinwa may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, fail to complete payment, or engage in abusive conduct; where the breach is serious, we may do so without prior notice. You may stop using the platform at any time. Sections of these terms that by their nature should continue, including the content licence restrictions, ownership of submissions, and the liability and governing law sections, survive termination.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, the platform is provided on an as-is, as-available basis, and Ifeyinwa is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outages or failures of third-party services we rely on, including Paystack, our video hosting provider, email provider, or WhatsApp provider. Ifeyinwa is not liable for the acts, omissions, or work of hirers or creators arising from an Agency introduction.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under Nigerian law, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the platform is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, [state or Federal High Court venue to be confirmed].
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the platform and its packages change. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; where a change is material, we will also tell you by email or WhatsApp before it applies to you.
